A structured learning environment  for surface pattern designers  who want to build  an independent design business Â
Using Spoonflower as your starting pointâwith clear guidance to grow beyond it.

This isnât a typical membership or course  Â
Power Sellers Academy isnât trying to be everything for every surface pattern designer.
Itâs built for designers who want more than resources, prompts, and submission opportunities. You want structure, strategy, and practical support so you can stop waiting for opportunities and start creating your own.
Inside, youâre developing the skills to think, plan, and make decisions as a creative business owner.
This is about building a business you have more control over.
đ§ A roadmap to take the guesswork out of building an independent design business
PSA isnât just a vault of lessons. Itâs a structured growth path to help you focus on the right things at the right time.
Spoonflower is the starting pointâbut the bigger goal is building an independent design business with more clarity, strategy, and momentum.
Inside PSA, the Power Sellers Path walks you through six key stages of growth, from getting established to building a more sustainable business.
đ This is a view-only preview.
Full access is exclusive to PSA members.
Hereâs what the Power Sellers Path looks like in practice đ
Â
Power Sellers Academy is designed to support the full process of building a surface pattern design businessânot just one part of it.
- Setting up and optimizing your Spoonflower shop
- Designing work that aligns with real buyer demand
- Understanding search, keywords, and discoverability
- Structuring collections and improving conversion
- Marketing your work (Pinterest, email, website, and more)
- Developing repeatable workflows and systems
- Exploring additional income streams (licensing, Etsy, etc.)
- Making strategic decisions about what to focus onâand what not to
This is not about doing everything at once.
Itâs about focusing on the right things at the right time.
PSA is far more comprehensive than most people expect...
New members often say they didnât expect how much is inside!
The lesson library is only part of it. PSA also includes the tools and resources members rely on to save hours each week, clear the mental clutter, and spend more time designing (instead of endlessly researching, keywording, and second-guessing everything).

Hey, there! I'm Erin Kendal â a self-taught surface pattern designer, Spoonflower expert, and top-seller.
Before I taught myself how to create patterns, I spent 15 years in a corporate job while running a creative side business as a maker.
I moved from maker to designer when I discovered Spoonflower and launched my surface pattern design business.
In 2020, my partner and I were able to quit our day jobs!
I created PSA to give other designers a clearer, more practical path forwardâwith the benefit of my hindsightâto save years of figuring it all out for yourself.
The techniques and principles can be applied by any designer, no matter your art style or niche. (Spoiler: you donât even have to have a niche!)
LEARN FROM MESureâit's competitive... every avenue is nowadays (including licensing!)
But these member results prove that growth is still possible with the right strategy.
