PSA may be a strong fit for you if you’re...
➞ making patterns, but struggling to turn them into consistent sales:
You’re not always sure whether the issue is visibility, keywords, what you’re designing, how you’re presenting it, or simply getting the right people to find your work.
➞ overwhelmed by everything you could be doing:
Create more designs? Improve what’s already in your shop? Work on Pinterest? Enter challenges? Build collections? Pursue licensing? You want to spend your limited time on the things most likely to move your business forward.
➞ unsure what to design next — or what buyers are actually looking for:
You want better insight into demand, trends, keywords, products and customers so you can decide which ideas are worth pursuing, rather than constantly guessing or reacting to whatever pops up next.
➞ ready to get better at the business side of being a surface pattern designer:
You can keep improving your design skills forever, but at some point you also need to get the work uploaded, optimized, marketed and in front of buyers.
You don’t need to do everything at once
Most members focus on the stage they’re in, apply what’s relevant, and come back to other lessons later.
You're never "behind" because it's not a course that you need to keep up with.
You follow a clear path (without feeling boxed in)
The structure helps you focus on what matters now—without guessing what to do next.
You’re not figuring it out alone
You get feedback, perspective, and support from people doing the same thing at different stages.
A highly engaged community of designers from around the world, willing to answer questions.
You build momentum over time
Not overnight—but steadily, with more clarity in what you’re creating and why.
✨ The Instant Mockup Studio ✨
Drop in a pattern tile just once— and get 60+ gorgeous mockups all scaled for you in a second!
Mockups used to eat your whole afternoon—opening software, uploading your pattern, eye-balling the scale, saving them out one… by… one.
Not anymore! Drag + drop one seamless pattern tile and watch it land in 60+ styled rooms (fabric coming!)—correctly scaled, customizable in moments, and ready to export in every file type & size you need for Instagram, Pinterest & your website! ✨
It's hours handed back to you for the fun stuff—designing!
AI never touches your file—the tool does everything right in your browser.

Hey, there! I'm Erin Kendal — a self-taught surface pattern designer, Spoonflower expert, and top-seller.
Before I taught myself how to create patterns, I spent 15 years in a corporate job while running a creative side business as a maker.
I moved from maker to designer when I discovered Spoonflower and launched my surface pattern design business.
In 2020, my partner and I were able to quit our day jobs!
I created PSA to give other designers a clearer, more practical path forward—with the benefit of my hindsight—to save years of figuring it all out for yourself.
The techniques and principles can be applied by any designer, no matter your art style or niche. (Spoiler: you don’t even have to have a niche!)
LEARN FROM MESure—it's competitive... every avenue is nowadays (including licensing!)
But these member results prove that new designers are earning meaningful income—regardless of what you might have been told.
